This Mystery is History!

I think I figured out the source of Abby's fish confusion. I was talking to my daycare provider about it yesterday, since it's pretty funny. She said that she hadn't noticed it, but thinks she knows why Abby always says "uh uh" when you say fish. Apparently she reads them a book that has a seal in it. One of the slightly older kids would always point to the seal and say, "fish!" My daycare provider would always reply, "Uh uh, it's a seal." Heh...so when you say "fish" to Abby, she always has to say "uh uh." It's funny the way they pick things up! Now to convince her that a fish is a fish...
